Active for over fifteen years, North Carolina bluegrass band Steep Canyon Rangers received worldwide recognition a few years ago when they began collaborating with actor/banjoist Steve Martin. Beyond the sextet’s collaborative career with Martin, SCR have won a Grammy award for Best Bluegrass Album and recorded nine solo records (plus two with Martin). In the last few years, Steep Canyon Rangers have risen to critical acclaim, garnering several awards and nominations from the International Bluegrass Music Association and praise from loyal fans.
