Holly Norman

Taking Care of Bluegrass

Artist:     Holly Norman

Album:     Taking Care of Bluegrass

Label:     Freedom Entertainment

Release Date:

This is an Elvis Presley tribute unlike many of the recent Elvis releases. Meet Holly Norman, a bluegrass gal with a voice that can stand up to Patsy Cline or Dolly Parton (Norman has been a featured performer at Parton’s own Dollywood amusement park too). She has Tennessee country roots and years of Southern charm under her belt.

In Taking Care of Bluegrass, Norman channels Elvis with the help of some of his own players- James Burton, Elvis’s legendary guitarist, and the Elvis backing quartet, Terry Blackwood & The Imperials. Twelve classic songs by the King and one original by Norman make up this must-have release.

Highlights include a blend of “Love Me Tender” and “Are You Lonesome Tonight,” “Suspicious Minds” and “In the Ghetto.”
