Recently, Amy Helm has been touring the Northeast on-and-off with special guest Cindy Cashdollar on steel guitar. Cashdollar recently sat in with Helm and a stellar backing band, which this night included Andy Stack on guitar, Jacob Silver on bass and David Berger on drums.
One of the most endearing performers touring today, Helm and her show cross boundaries of musical genres to please everyone with joyful, wondrous music that charges the soul. At Plattsburgh’s Strand Theater, the special treat of the phenomenal Cindy Cashdollar on steel guitar made our night.
Helm will be embarking on what she calls the Woodshed Residency Tour, “woodshedding” new material in small venues for inclusion in an upcoming album, hopefully to be released by the end of this year.
Catch Amy Helm in NYC at Rockwood Music Hall, in Philly at Milkboy, and in Boston at the Lizard Lounge, as well as points West, for one of these intimate nights and try to get the twofer of a Cindy Cashdollar performance with the price of admission.
