Light of Day at the Cutting Room: Fight Parkinson’s Disease

Benefit with Benefits: Steve Forbert & The Renditions, The Weeklings, John Eddie & His Dirty Ol’ Band, Joe D’Urso & Stone Caravan

Only a few tickets left for the annual Light of Day Winterfest concert at the Cutting Room in  Manhattan. As usual, there are literally hundreds of acts appearing at this weeks-long all-star event, but this is the only one you can get to by subway.

Joe D’Urso

Steve Forbert & Band, The Weeklings, John Eddie & His Dirty Old Band, Joe D’Urso & Stone Caravan headline Wednesday, January 16, at one of the quirkiest clubs around (guitar chandelier, 20-foot wooden guitar bar, burlesque vibe, great food), the Cutting Room, 44 East 32nd St., Manhattan. Doors open at 6:30.

The Light of Day Foundation raises money to defeat Parkinson’s Disease, which right now is incurable. Last year Light of Day concerts—held worldwide, with a special Winterfest series in Asbury Park and other New Jersey cities, Philly and Rockland County—surpassed the cumulative $5,000,000 mark in funds raised.
