Question One: At the original Woodstock Festival, what political activist was knocked off the stage during the performance by the Who? Who (no pun intended) was the person who booted him from the stage?
Answer: During the performance by the Who, Abbie Hoffman, one of the founders of the Youth International Party (Yippies), jumped on the stage to deliver a speech against the jailing of John Sinclair of the White Panther Party for marijuana possession. Pete Townshend struck Hoffman with his guitar, sending him tumbling offstage. Townshend admitted that although he agreed with Hoffman, he would have knocked him offstage because Hoffman had violated the right of the band to perform uninterrupted. The incident happened during a camera change and was not captured on film.

Question Two: Although the Woodstock Festival became a "free" concert, tickets were sold in advance. How much did a single day ticket cost? Hint: There original price increased twice due to mounting costs.
Answer: At the original Woodstock Festival, a one-day ticket originally cost $6.00, increased to $7.00, then quickly to $8.00 because of the rising cost of putting on the show. A three-day ticket went for $18.00. Tickets available at the gate were supposed to sell for $24.00 for all three days. My original tickets ($7.00 each) are framed for posterity.
