Although only one of the Dream Syndicate‘s members currently lives in Los Angeles, they still think of it as their hometown – “a big influence on our group from day one,” said frontman Steve Wynn. To be sure, the Dream Syndicate has long been synonymous with Los Angeles’ early ’80s alternative rock/Paisely Underground scene. After rising to the top of, then transcending, that scene, the group disbanded in 1989, with Wynn carrying on as a solo artist. But in 2012, the group reunited and has been playing shows across the globe ever since. After London, Stockholm, Athens and on and on, their final show of 2014 takes them home to Los Angeles, at the Echoplex on November 22. According to Wynn, it’ll be “a wonderful chance to bring it all back home.”
