Tegan and Sara have a new video for the powerful “Now I’m All Messed Up.” In this video, everything’s all written out in front of you. Literally. It’s just a lyric video, but the emotions present in the lyrics aren’t lost on the simplicity; quite the contrary, the words are blurred and messed up with drops and splays of  ink and water mixing with the words. The mess of words, ink and water becomes a fitting visual metaphor for what’s happening in the lyrics. “Now I’m All Messed Up,” taken from the duo’s latest album, Heartthrob, basks in its own heartbreak and conflicted torture without losing its footing.
