The Pixies Release New Video, Announce North American Tour

04pixies-1-superJumboOnce the Pixies get going, they don’t stop. The band, which is now comprised of Black Francis, Joey Santiago, David Lovering and Kim Shattuck (who recently took the place of longtime Pixie member Kim Deal), just announced a world tour, and have followed up that announcement with the announcement of a 33-city North American tour as well. The North American tour will kick off on Jan. 15 in Toronto and conclude on March 1 in Austin, TX. They won’t be stopping in the city (they already played four sold-out shows in NYC in last month), but they’ll be stopping in the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY, on Jan. 19 and the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark on Jan. 21. The band has also released a new video for “Andro Queen,” off of their recent four-track, EP-1. The clip, which was directed by Ondi Timoner, contains road footage, scenes of sunsets and nature and scenes of the band playing with animal masks. You can check out the Pixies North American tour dates and their video for “Andro Queen” below.
