Inaugural Modern Sky Festival Coming To New York’s Central Park

The Modern Sky Festival has had several successful runs in China over the years, and now the festival is making its first trip to the United States. The inaugural American edition of the Modern Sky Festival will come to New York’s Central Park on October 4th and 5th.

The festival isn’t straying too far from its roots in Beijing, mixing some of the biggest names in Chinese rock music with several American acts. Notable among the local acts playing the festival are Cat Power, The Blood Brothers, Stars, Liars, and The Both (Aimee Mann & Ted Leo). They will be joined by Chinese rock groups Zhang Xuan, Tongue, Second Hand Rose, and Queen Sea Big Shark, among others.
