The Boxcars, Blue Highway Lead International Bluegrass Music Award Nominees

The International Bluegrass Music Awards are coming up, and we now have a full list of nominees. The Boxcars lead the pack with ten nominations, including nods for Album and Song Of The Year. Following them are Blue Highway (nine nominations) and The Del McCoury Band (six nominations).

Blue Highway has a chance to sweep the ceremony’s most prestigious awards, having been nominated for Entertainer Of The Year, Vocal Group Of The Year, and Instrumental Group Of The Year. They’ll have competition in the last category from The Boxcars, who are coming off of a breakthrough year which saw their album It’s Just A Road earn a Grammy nomination for Best Bluegrass Album.

Other nominees this year include Punch Brothers banjoist Noam Pikelny, Steep Canyon Rangers, The Grascals, and The Spinney Brothers. For a full list of nominees, check out the list below:
