All good things must come to an end, but Austin City Limits season 41 is going out on a high note. The finale, airing on PBS stations nationwide, on February 13th at 8pm CT/ 9pm ET, will feature a full-hour long performance by the Tedeschi Trucks Band. Elmore is premiering a web exclusive from the band’s ACL debut, “Laugh About It,” a clip which won’t be included in the finale.
The Tedeschi Trucks Band is led by husband and wife team Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks (you can read our Influences feature with the duo here). The newlyweds formed the band in 2010, so they could spend more time together instead of recording and touring separately. They toured for a year, and ended up releasing their debut album, Revelator, in 2011, which went on to win them a Grammy for Best Blues Album. In 2013, the band released a follow up album titled Made Up Mind, and their latest album, Let Me Get By, was released at the end of January. The band recently announced that they’ll hit the road this summer on a Wheels of Soul tour, along with Los Lobos and North Mississippi Allstars. No question about it, this blues rock group continues to shine.
