Sturgill Simpson – 8/10 – Fargo Theatre (Fargo, ND)

sturgillIn 2014, Kentucky-born country artist Sturgill Simpson won the Americana Music Award for “Emerging Artist Of The Year”. The following year, his sophomore record, Metamodern Sounds in Country Music, was nominated for a Grammy award for Best Americana Album. Now, in 2016, he’s brought his fans more stunning roots music with his third album, A Sailor’s Guide To Earth, released just last month, which has already hit the number one spot on Billboard charts. With three full-length records under his belt all within a few years, Simpson has become a big name in outlaw country.

To celebrate the new record (his major label debut on Atlantic Records), Simpson has headed out on an extensive North American tour from May through mid-November, hitting a few European festivals and sold-out auditoriums.
