With a musical career spanning over three decades, Jerry Garcia remains one of rock’s most influential icons, even since his death twenty years ago. The passion he gave to the Grateful Dead is not overlooked, and a world of fans remain loyal after all these years.

When it comes to Jerry’s legacy, it can be headspinning to look at all of the musicians whom he as influenced, who also count themselves as fans. Garcia’s memory lives on with the release of Dear Jerry: Celebrating The Music Of Jerry Garcia, a two and a half hour concert film (with accompanying audio recordings) of the once-in-a-lifetime Jerry Garcia tribute concert on May 14th at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Maryland last year. The event brought together more than 20 performances by artists including Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Peter Frampton, Jorma Kaukonen, Grace Potter, Allen Toussaint, Yonder Mountain String Band and more, all performing Garcia’s most beloved tracks like “Sugaree” “Friend of the Devil” and “Uncle John’s Band.”
