The Cafe Au Go Go Revisited series concludes with Deva Mahal, and phenomenal young singer with the blues in her blood. The daughter of blues legend Taj Mahal, Deva’s take on Southern soul and blues keeps the traditions her father helped set alive while providing a new, distinctly modern take on this music. On her own and with the band Fredericks Brown, Mahal has played with the likes of Etta James, Grace Potter, The Roots, and Patti Smith, among others. She’s a rising star to keep an eye on, and this is a show that shouldn’t be missed under any circumstances. Tickets can be purchased here.
