So far, The Black Keys have hinted at a new, eerie, trippy direction for their next album Turn Blue. The new single “Fever” exemplifies this new approach, with unnerving lyrics and an unsettling organ running throughout the song. The video for “Fever” takes that creepy vibe one step further by taking the song to one of the most ominous places in the world: a televangelist’s church.

The video finds singer/guitarist Dan Auerbach taking the role of a sweat-ridden preacher singing in the form of an impassioned sermon while drummer Patrick Carney silently nods while sneaking in a few swigs of booze. As the song swells to its climax, the band’s flock begin singing praise and speaking in tongues.
