Woodstock remains the iconic music festival for plenty of reasons, not least of which is the bad weather it encountered. Rain–and worse–is all just part of the music festival experience. And, of course, some festivals are prepared, salvaging the proceedings, and some aren’t, leaving fans understandably irate.

Yesterday, due to severe rain and flash flood warnings, New Orleans’ Voodoo Music + Arts Experience cancelled its final day. What’s more, even though they are traditionally a “no refund, rain or shine event,” they are now offering three-day-pass-holders a refund for 1/3 of the pass price. So while Zac Brown Band and the rest of Sunday’s artists may not have taken the stage, Voodoo has certainly salvaged the proceedings by doing the right thing.
