Jazz trumpeter and composer Randy Brecker has helped shape the sound of jazz, R&B and rock for more than four decades. His trumpet and flugelhorn performances have graced albums by James Taylor, Bruce Springsteen and Parliament/Funkadelic to Frank Sinatra, Steely Dan, Jaco Pastorius, Frank Zappa, Blood, Sweat and Tears and a hundred others.

Randy Brecker’s Brecker Brothers Band Reunion features a live DVD recorded at the Blue Note in NYC bundled with an 11-song studio recording featuring members of the Brecker Brothers bands throughout the years, including Dave Sanborn, Mike Stern, Will Lee, and Dave Weckl.

An exception to the rule that “those who can’t do teach,” Brecker has been sharing his knowedge of trumpet and fluegelhorn with students worldwide, and continues to raise the brass bar. Come see what it’s all about on June 8 at the Brevard Music Center.
