Gary Allegretto is an internationally renowned harmonica player, and it immediately obvious on track 1, Blues on the Trail, arguably the best song on the album. Dive deeper into his 5th recording, and Allegretto will bring you off the well-trodden path and blaze a new trail with an original and exciting record that seamlessly mixes the cowboy and blues genres. This album has been nominated for 8 AWA Awards!

An award-winning Blues in the Schools educator, Allegretto is also a compelling vocalist and songwriter. Additionally, his life journey has taken him deep into the cowboy culture as a forest ranger, rafting guide, and a top-notch forest firefighter. His hard-earned knowledge is reflected in nine original songs, two co-written with guitarist Ian Espinoza, who contributes one original.

Allegretto is the founder and director of Harmonikids, providing music therapy to special needs children internationally, with harmonicas and lessons. Harmonikids provided aid to Haitian children after the devastating Port Au Prince earthquake musical training in the tsunami refugee camps of North Sumatra, Indonesia, as well as to Hurricane Katrina evacuees in the trailer villages of Louisiana.

On his fifth release, Gary Allegretto once again offers songs grounded in both reflection and days gone by—a great campfire sing-a-long that reflects the early blues of newly-freed slaves as well as trail songs from the Old West.
