Exclusive: Photographers’ Show & Tell

Henry Diltz and Mick Rock, on documenting history

They’ve covered the concerts you saw and the ones you missed. The short list of artists these two music photographers have shot (Henry Diltz: The Doors, Eagles, James Taylor, Linda Rondstadt, Jackson Browne, Crosby Stills & Nash and the original Woodstock, where he was the official photographer), (Mick Rock: David Bowie, Queen and Freddie Mercury, Syd Barrett, Lou Reed, Blondie) makes up every photographer’s wish list, and now the two legends are talking about their adventures.

With a wealth of both still and moving images—many we have all seen, and a few we have never seen—the two men offer authentic and honest recollections which deepen our perspective on music history.

In a tour beginning in Boston, MA and finishing in Bay Shore, NY, their two-hour live show will feature Rock and Diltz presenting images and discussing the iconic moments they’ve captured during their distinguished careers to date. Hear the backstories of some of the most monumental moments in music history, with all the surprise, humor and reality of those events. Come prepared, folks, this is rock ‘n’ roll.

These two hours promise an entirely new perspective on their stunning images—like Diltz’s images of The Who smashing their guitars at Monterey Pop—photos from the audience, backstage, and on the road that have grown to be part of the rock music psyche.

After the talks, both Henry Diltz and Mick Rock will hand sign prints which will be available for sale.
