Soul Surrealism raises temperatures

Sam Pace sets his own pace, and, with Sam Pace and the Gilded Grit, has defined his own, new genre as “soul surrealism.” Whatever you call it, this tune—his second in this soul surrealism direction—immediately seizes the inside track, delivering the catchy hook right out of the gate.

Like many artists, Pace  spent the last homebound year writing, and will be releasing a full CD this summer, followed by an acoustic EP shortly thereafter. Some of his work can already be heard on his podcast Waiting for an Encore, which features a new musical guest on each show.

The smooth and sexy “Hot Blood” was produced by Grammy-nominated Frenchie Smith, and with its smooth and sexy guitar solo, key changes and octave jumps, the song keeps us offers interest a-plenty, ready to raise our temperature to “Hot Blood.”

Pace told Elmore, “This track is probably the sauciest we’ve released. It’s all about the rhythm and feel on this one.”

See if you don’t agree.
