Cory Bishop was raised in Southern California by music-loving parents before heading to Nashville for college, where he briefly studied music and religion, then dropped out to pursue his need to play and record. Bishop explores several themes, such as love and redemption, in his upcoming self-titled EP, saying, “I see it now as my job and my duty to craft songs that can help people catch a glimpse of hope; catch a glimpse of love and redemption.”
Cory Bishop is an introspective, personal revelation featuring striking sentiment and imagery. “Carolina” is heartfelt and honest, with Bishop’s guitar providing a raw and engaging melody. Bishop notes “Carolina is a place, but Carolina is also a girl. It’s my on-off relationship with God, and my on-off relationship with my dreams.”
Cory Bishop will be released on October 7th. Until then, stream “Carolina” below, exclusively through Elmore.
